The thing about Quincy Jones' masterful approach to any musical genre he decides to dip into is that it is so professionally executed one can sit back in awe as well as be totally entertained and enthralled with the product. 50 Years in Music: Live at Montreux 1996 features a powerful orchestra that knows its place and allows guests like David Sanborn and Chaka Khan to be seen and heard in a new light.
