All too often, dance music has emphasized beats and tracks at the expense of vocal personality. But there's no shortage of expressive singing on S'express's Intercourse, one of the more noteworthy dance albums of 1991. The duo consists of keyboardist Mark Moore and vocalist Sonique, whose passionate, brassy wailing is an obvious asset on exuberant numbers like "Twinkle (Step Into My Mind)," "Nothing to Lose" and "Find 'Em, Fool 'Em, Forget 'Em."
