David Kersh's debut album, Goodnight Sweetheart, is a pleasant set of contemporary country that emphasizes slick uptempo line-dancing country-rock and polished ballads. Kersh has a winning voice and personality, yet he lacks strong material. For every strong number, there's one that doesn't quite catch hold.
