"Rare and Previously Unreleased Recordings 1965-1972," reads a legend on the cover of the Turn Back The Hands Of Time compilation, and while Dan Nooger's liner notes fail to spell out the details, it appears that the bulk of these tracks date from the early '70s and Z.z. Hill's Hill Records label. One, "Don't Make Me Pay for His Mistakes," was a hit for the blues singer in 1971.
