James Yorkston - Someplace Simple [EP]

For the follow-up to his excellent Moving Up Country album, British neo-folkie James Yorkston has stripped his lush sound down to the bare essentials of acoustic guitars and vocals plus a few accoutrements like banjo, accordion, and concertina. The mood of the record is low-key and well, moody, very reminiscent of Fairport Convention in the way Yorkston blends traditional melodies and modern sounds.
