Yet another MySpace band appealing to the teenage fans of Fall Out Boy and Taking Back Sunday, A Heartwell Ending is an utterly straightforward {emo} band with some {pop} leanings. A Heartwell Ending formed in the fall of 2003 in Long Beach, CA, out of the ashes of a pair of local bands, one of which (the Conspiracy Theory) featured singer Justin Allen and guitarist Bret Johnson, the other (At It Again) showcasing guitarist Greg Hurst and drummer Robert Mccann. After the addition of bassist Jason Lopez, Hurst left the band during demo sessions for their first album, replaced by guitarist Brandon Feldhahn, who himself was replaced by keyboardist Will Schuck later in the recording process. Signed to the small Mediaskare label in 2005, A Heartwell Ending released their debut album, Trust Us, We Lie, in the summer of 2006. ~ Stewart Mason, Rovi
