Diesel fuel shortage felt across North America

A diesel fuel shortage across Western Canada has many drivers nervous about the supply and whether it will dry up altogether.
Fort St John resident Clarence Apsassin drives six hours per day and has to fuel up on diesel daily for work. He says he's noticed fuel is short from Grande Prairie to Fort St John.
"We're feeling that crunch right now, so I'm hoping that someone out there will do something about it so we can continue to use [diesel] for work," said Apsassin as he fueled up at PetroCanada in Fort St. John.
A spokesperson for PetroCanada says the shortage is due to unexpectedly high demand this month from wholesalers and is being felt right across Western Canada.
Another fuel supplier (UFA) says the shortage is a problem all across North America.
