Bulls Hard to Handle
The Memorial Arena was rocking Friday night as the top Bull riders and Junior Steer riders in Canada bucked their way into the Mile Zero City.
The BabyBull riders got things going as they took on the wiry bovines. Nobody could touch William Macza's 82, as he captured Canada's richest professional Steer riding event.
In the Long Go for the big boys it was Jesse Torkelson putting up an 87 to lead the way over Scott Schiffner and a host of other riders. In the Short Go, it was the bulls making short work of the cowboys. Only one rider was able to hang on for the full 8 seconds, Max Fortmuller. The DeWinton cowboy scored an 88 on Goldmember to take home the T-Ray Cooke Memorial Buckle.
The final numbers are not yet in for the event, but organizers estimate that this year's edition is one of the biggest yet.
