When Zac Maloy and fellow Oklahoma City bandmates formed the Nixons, they found early success. Their 1995 release of Foma reached sales near gold status and the lead single "Sister" graced radio stations across the nation. They were unable to duplicate that success commercially on their next three releases; the third was Latest Thing, released in the spring of 2000. Now Zac Maloy is off on his own with his first album, Life, released in the fall of 2001. He has teamed up with bass player Ricky Wolking, also formerly of the Nixons, as well as Ray Luzier and Tim Locke to produce his solo album on Buddy Records. ~ Shawn Nicholls, All Music Guide
