Colombian Cabas (born Andrés Cabas Rosales) started attending music classes at a very young age. Influenced by his dad, composer Eduardo Cabas who is mostly known for the Tropical classic "La Cantaleta," Cabas became a multi-instrumentalist with special interest in Latin percussion and even when alternative pop/rock numbers were his favorites, the promising artist finally turned to a mix of traditional Colombian rhythms and Latin pop. At the age of 23, Cabas signed up with EMI to release a self-titled album produced by himself and Chucho Merchán. ~ Drago Bonacich, All Music Guide
